You speak of claiming your power. This statement is true,
but quite often you take it to mean having to do it
yourself. So we would like to rephrase this statement
to: "Claim your Higher Power".
Claiming your Higher Power really means that you are willing
to be shown the possibility of a solution in any situation.
You are willing to be in touch with the Power within that
guides you.
Sometimes we get into a "victim" role which says: "I don't
have any power to do anything." Claiming your Higher, your
Inner Power, acknowledges that there is a power within and
around you that can provide a solution, a way through. This
Power is not separate from us. It works through us. It
becomes the doing and in our joining with it, this power
becomes us. It becomes the next step we are willing to take.
Question: But don't we have to do something?
Answer: Yes, but it all depends where we come from in the doing.
Do we come from a place of powerlessness in an attempt to do
something, still believing there is nothing that will help to
change the circumstance, or do we come from a place of being
Higher Powered, which is truly claiming our Power. We are in
fact
saying, "I know there is a Power within me that can resolve any
difficulty. I know there is a Power around me that will assist
in the doing. I know that a Higher Power is Who I am and who
God is. This is where my doing will begin."
Often people ask: "What can I do?" We would change that slightly
to: "What can I do with God's assistance?" This again is
claiming our Power.
Yes each of us must do certain things as part of a solution. We
need to honestly admit where we are and we need to take the next
step so another way can be present. We begin with honesty and
we
begin by claiming our Higher Power. With these steps, whatever
we
need to do comes from a place of strength rather than a belief
in weakness.
Yes there is much to do. Are we willing to be present with the
doing,
and are we willing to be "Higher Powered" each step of the way..
